ABOUT 

Emilia was born in Milan, Italy. She later moved to London, where she graduated in 2016 with a Bachelor’s degree in Costume Interpretation from Wimbledon College of Arts.

She began her professional career specializing in millinery, working with Edwina Ibbotson and Claire Strickland. She subsequently expanded her practice within the theatre industry in London, collaborating with costume designers Catherine Zuber and Luis Carvalho on productions at the National Theatre and the English National Opera. Her work has also taken her internationally, including productions at Lincoln Center in New York and the Staatsoper Unter den Linden in Berlin.

Among her design credits are The Voyage at the Klaipėda State Music Theatre and Giulio Cesare in Egitto at the Landestheater Salzburg, working with directors Chiara Osella and Carlo Massari.

She currently collaborates with costume designer Elena Beccaro on opera productions at leading European institutions, including the Teatro del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, Teatro La Fenice, Oper Frankfurt and Teatro Regio Torino.

Alongside her design practice, she lectures in Costume Design and History of Costume at Nuova Accademia di Belle Arti(NABA) in Milan.
